Turku School of Economics

Turku School of Economics is one of the largest institutes in Finland for education in economic science. Backed by its


internationally recognised business expertise, the university offers broad-based training in Turku and Pori,
with an emphasis on the future and building business knowledge. Studies include a comprehensive choice of economic sciences,
other business and finance-related subjects and foreign languages.



The fully established position of the School as a scientific expert and societal influence is based on decades of
experience in the creation and use of innovative knowledge, in training business experts for the future.


Basic Information



In addition to two thousand aiming at a degree, hundreds of students who are supplementing their skills study each year
at Turku School of Economics. In addition to Turku, we operate in Pori, Tampere and Helsinki with a staff totalling 350,
in five departments and five separate units.



The total number of students working for a degree at Turku School of Economics is approximately 2000. Each year, about 200 graduates from our university receive their Bachelor or Master’s degree. All those interested in joining at a Bachelor of Economic Sciences education programme participate in an entrance examination.


In addition to instruction leading to a degree, Turku School of Economics also arranges continuing and adult education. About 800 participate annually in continuing education, with 600 taking part in Open University courses.



In addition to Turku, we offer education in the economic sciences in Pori. We also function at the Finland Futures Research Centre facilities in Helsinki and Tampere.

Turku School of Economics offers the following Master's degree programmes in English:

Global Information Technology Management - GITM
Global Innovation Management - GIM
Futures Studies - FUTU
In addition to these programmes Turku School of Economics offers an Erasmus Mundus Master's programme jointly with IAE Aix-en-Provence (France) and Tilburg University (The Netherlands).
